  1. 4444Participation Agreement – Signature Required
    1. I have read the above agreements; and understand all of the terms and conditions specified. I enter this Event voluntarily and without reservations. (This will be at the registration check in for you to sign)
      1. Participants & Eligibility
        1. Each participant must complete, sign, and submit an official registration form (manual completion or online) fishingtoendhungermn.com.
          1. Payment must be included with registration
            1. If registered and paid by 7/31/24, fee is $400/boat
            2. If registered and paid after 7/31/24, fee is $500/boat
          2. Confirmation of registration will be emailed to participants
            1. Boat number will be assigned when payment is received
          3. This is a 2-person per boat fishing tournament. Participants under the age of 18 (as of 10/6/23) must have consent from their parent/guardian to participate
            1. If the participant that is responsible for driving the boat is under age 18, they must show proof of a valid Watercraft Operator’s permit (issued by the State of Minnesota OR the state they reside)
          4. Participants 16 years or older must possess a valid Minnesota fishing license
          5. Any participant who is not in good physical or mental condition and cannot freely move about the boat without assistance, must have a fishing partner who can handle those necessary tasks
          6. Registration check in will be: Friday, October 4th, 2023 from 4-7 pm.  IF you are unable to check in on Friday, you must communicate that to The Fishing to End Hunger administration by 10/04/24.

      1. Registration check in is located at Bar Harbor Supper Club, 8164 Interlachen Road, Lake Shore, MN.
      1. Participants are required to attend the Rules Meeting at Bar Harbor Supper Club on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 7:30 am.

       

      1. Participant Agreement, Photo and Video Release
        1. At registration check in, each participant will be required to sign a document that will include:
          1. Participation Agreement – Sporting Event
            1. As a participant in the Fishing To End Hunger Tournament, I understand this is a sporting event governed by rules. The Tournament Director shall act as the referee in all disputes, and his decision (based on his interpretation of the rules) will be final and without legal appeal
          2. Participation Agreement – Release of Liability
            1. I acknowledge I am voluntarily participating in the Fishing To End Hunger Tournament and am aware that this creates the risk of serious personal injury or death and loss or damage to personal property. In exchange for being accepted into the Fishing To End Hunger Tournament, I hereby release and discharge the Tournament Administrator, The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes, WalleyeDan, and Bar Harbor Supper Club (an their officers, directors, agents, employees, volunteers and legal representatives) from the liabilities and/or injuries, damages, or loss sustained by me.  I expressly recognize that loss of property, injury or death could arise from:  1) the fishing and boating activities contemplated by the Event; 2) the fact that competition rules contemplate that participants will fish in boats belonging to the other participants as well as their own boats; 3) the fact that the risks normally encountered in open-water fishing from a boat may be enhanced by the existence of competition
      • Participation Agreement – Photo and Video Permission/Release
        1. I understand that photos, video and digital images will be taken during the course of my participation, and I agree that the organizers, administrators, sponsors, new media may use these images for promotional or commercial purposes (including social media and websites) without royalties or prior consent and with my full permission

 

  1. Scoring
    1. All fish must be caught live, and in a manner consistent to rules and regulations of the Gull Lake Chain.
    2. Participants may enter five (5) walleyes
      1. with only 1 being over 20 inches
      2. all fish must be at least 15 inches
    3. No boat may come in contact with another boat during tournament hours
    4. Participants may not pass or receive information, tackle, bait from any other boat during the tournament hours
    5. Participants may not have another boat hold or reserve fishing locations
    6. Weigh in headquarters will be at Bar Harbor Supper Club on Gull Lake
    7. In the event of a tie; the prize will be split evenly

 

  1. Tournament Format
    1. Rules Meeting – there will be NO in person rules meeting. There will be a Facebook video loaded to the Fishing To End Hunger Facebook page on Friday, October 4th, 2024 going over the rules. A copy of the rules will be included in the packet for Fishing To End packet for Fisherman Check in no Friday at Bar Harbor Supper Club.
    2. Tournament boundaries are the entire Gull Lake Chain. All pre-fishing must end by 4 pm on Friday, October 4th, 2024
    3. Participants may launch at any ramp; but take off for the tournament will be facilitated from Bar Harbor Supper Club
    4. There will be a mandatory boat inspection prior to tournament start
      1. All participants are subject to inspection any time during tournament hours
    5. Live baits and artificial lures are allowed, following the Minnesota state regulations
    6. Each participant must wear a Coast Guard approved flotation device at all times when the combustion engine is operating above trolling speed
    7. No alcoholic beverages or non-prescription drugs are allowed in the boat at any time
    8. Each participant must observe safe boat conduct, no-wake zones, local navigation rules, demonstrate courtesy and act in a sportsmanlike manner at all times
    9. There will be 2 flights for the tournament
      1. First flight will depart at 8 am. and return by 4 pm.
      2. Second flight will depart at 8:30 am and return by 4:30 pm
  • Flight time departures and return may change based on weather conditions and/or expediency of timing between flights – Tournament Director will make announcements accordingly
  1. All boats must return to Bar Harbor Supper Club on time, or a penalty will be issued
    1. If boats are in line, they will be considered on time
    2. If 1-5 minutes late, there will be a penalty of 25%
  • If 6-10 minutes late, there will be a penalty of 50%
  1. Weigh in scales will open at 9 am
  2. All fish weighed must be alive
    1. Dead fish will not be weighed/counted towards total
  3. For fish to be weighed and counted, participants must bring the fish to the official weigh in location at Bar Harbor Supper Club. Weigh in is on land
    1. Weigh slips will be issued and must be signed off by one of the 2 participants/partners to verify weight
  4. All prizes and awards will be given from the Main Stage immediately upon completion of the tournament
    1. Winners must be present to collect prizes, or they will be forfeited
  5. Tournament Director will interpret rules according to the spirit and intent of the rule and his decision in all matters is final.
