Eligibility and Registration
- Registration for the 13th Annual Fishing To End Hunger (FTEH) Tournament can be found on www.fishingtoendhunger.com
- The fee for the FTEH has been established:
- If registered and paid by June 30, 2025, the fee is $500 per boat
- If registered and paid after June 30, 2025, the fee is $600 per boat
- Confirmation of registration will be emailed to participants.
- Boat numbers are assigned when payment is received.
- Once payment is received, there will be no refunds for registration, should participants need to cancel.
- This is a 2-person per boat fishing tournament.
- Participants under the age of 18 (as of October 3, 2025) must have consent from their parent/guardian to participate.
- One-person team is allowed.
- If the participant that is responsible for driving the boat is under age 18, they must show proof of a valid Watercraft Operator’s permit (issued by the State of Minnesota OR the state they reside in).
- FTEH reserves the right to refuse entry to any individuals who have been banned or disqualified from any tournament for rules violations.
- Participants 16 years or older must possess a valid Minnesota fishing license.
- Any participant who is not in good physical or mental condition and cannot freely move about the boat without assistance, must have a fishing partner who can handle those necessary tasks.
- RULES Meeting: there will be NO in person rules meeting. There will be a Facebook video loaded to the FTEH Facebook page by NOON on Friday, October 3, 2025, going over the rules.
- All participants are encouraged to watch the rules video and to read the tournament rules.
Friday Night Registration check-in, October 3, 2025
- All pre-fishing must end by 4 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025.
- Check-in is located at Bar Harbor Supper Club, 8164 Interlachen Road, Lake Shore, MN 56468.
- From 3 pm – 4 pm: you can check in, but the restaurant will NOT be open until 4 pm.
- From 4 pm – 7 pm: you can check in AND receive a complimentary meal from Bar Harbor Supper Club.
- Both members of the team are REQUIRED to sign off on the waiver at check-in.
- The waiver will include participation agreement, release of liability, photo and video permission, agreement of tournament rules.
- We will also ask for your boat information (brand of boat, make & model of your motor), and what landing you plan to use for Saturday to launch your boat.
- A copy of the FTEH rules will be included in your packet at check-in.

Saturday, October 4, 2025, Tournament Day
- Tournament boundaries are the entire Gull Lake Chain.
- Participants may launch at any ramp; but take off for the tournament will be facilitated from Bar Harbor Supper Club.
- All boats must be inspected. Boat inspection takes place between 5:30 am – 7:30 am.
- Boat inspections start at 5:30 am and must be completed by 7:30 am.
- Any boats getting inspected after 7:30 am will be penalized by being sent to the back of the line for tournament start.
- All storage compartments and live wells must be accessible for boat inspection.
- All boats are subject to inspection at any time during tournament hours.

- Live baits and artificial lures are allowed, following the Minnesota state regulations.
- Each participant must wear a Coast Guard approved flotation device when the combustion engine is operating above trolling speed.
- No alcoholic beverages or non-prescription drugs may be consumed during tournament hours or until that team’s fish have been weighed and certified.
Saturday, October 4, 2025, Tournament Day (continued)
- Each participant must observe safe boat conduct, no-wake zones and local navigation rules.
- Participants may not pass or receive information, tackle, bait from any other boat during the tournament hours.
- At no time during tournament hours are participants to leave their boats unless granted permission from the tournament director(s).
- Participants may not have another boat hold or reserve fishing locations.
- All participants competing in this event are expected to act in a sportsman like manner at all times towards non-competitors and other competitors alike.
- No cell phones or other electronic communication is allowed during tournament hours except for in an emergency.
- Participants are responsible for having liability insurance for the boat being used in the FTEH Tournament.
- There will be 2 flights for the tournament.
- The first flight will depart at 8 am and return by 3 pm.
- The second flight will depart at 8:30 am and return by 3:30 pm.
- Flight time departures and return may change based on weather conditions and/or expediency of timing between flights – Tournament Director will make announcements accordingly.
- Boats will line up in numerical order. Boat numbers must be visible to the tournament director when being released.
- All boats must return to Bar Harbor Supper Club on time, or a penalty will be issued.
- If boats are in line, they will be considered on time.
- If 1-5 minutes late, there will be a penalty of 25%.
- If 6-10 minutes late, there will be a penalty of 50%.
- This is a catch and release tournament.
- Weigh in headquarters will be at Bar Harbor Supper Club on Gull Lake.
- For fish to be weighed and counted, participants must bring the fish to the official weigh in location at Bar Harbor Supper Club.
- All fish will be weighed on site by the tournament weigh master.
- Weigh in scales will open at 9 am.
- Weigh slips will be completed, and a carbon copy of the slip will be given to 1 person on the team.
- Any discrepancies in weights must be challenged immediately with tournament weigh master.
- All fish weighed must be alive.
- Dead fish will not be weighed/counted towards total.
- Participants may enter five (5) walleyes per boat.
- All fish must be at least 15 inches in length. Only 1 fish of the 5 can be 20 inches or over.
- All prize money is based on 100 boats participating in the tournament.
- If there are not 100 boats that participate, prize money may be adjusted.
- In the event of a tie, the prize will be split evenly.
- All prizes and awards will be given from the Main Stage immediately upon completion of the tournament.
- Winners must be present to collect prizes, or they will be forfeited.
- Tournament Directors Dan Eigen and Shawn Hansen will interpret rules according to the spirit and intent of the rules and their decision in all matters is final.
- Violations of any rules, as determined by the tournament directors (in their sole discretion), may result in disqualification from the tournament and ineligibility of prizes and awards.
