Lets Fight Hunger.... Together!
My fishing partner and I will be fishing in the 12th Annual Fishing To End Hunger Tournament on Saturday, October 5, 2024. FTEH was established in 2013 as a fundraising event to support the efforts of The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes. Outreach BLA is in Nisswa, Minnesota. Fishermen/women fundraise to help this awesome organization fulfill their mission: Feeding Families in Need. Their vision is that 80-90% of the meals they package will stay in Minnesota; while the other 10-20% are being distributed for disaster relief and/or international distribution. Outreach BLA packs these meals for only $0.30/meal.
Outreach BLA packages and distributes 10 different nutritiously dense meals to local area food shelves, community meal programs, shelters, after school programs, etc. All the foods ONLY require 3-8 cups of boiling water to make. The packing of meals, and the distribution is facilitated by community volunteers.
